Product Overview

Bitumen Supply Built Around Project Requirements

Bitumen is a petroleum-derived material widely used in asphalt production, road construction and waterproofing applications. Its suitability depends on more than the commercial grade: penetration, viscosity, softening point and other performance characteristics must be matched to the applicable project specification.

QAA structures supply enquiries around these technical requirements, the availability of the requested product and the commercial conditions of each shipment. We review the product grade, required quantity, loading location, packaging, destination and contractual conditions before developing a supply proposal.

Middle East Supply Connections

The Middle East is an important region for bitumen production and international trade, supported by refinery operations and established export logistics. QAA evaluates supply opportunities in Oman and other regional markets according to actual availability, producer documentation, loading arrangements and destination requirements.

A product's country of origin (where it was produced), its cargo location (where the available product is held) and its loading point (where the shipment is collected or dispatched) are verified separately. These are not necessarily the same.

Bitumen Grades for Different Applications

Penetration Grade 60/70 is a commonly specified paving grade; 80/100 is a softer penetration grade for particular paving or industrial uses, subject to engineering and climate requirements. VG30 and VG40 are viscosity grades used where a project specification requires them. Penetration grades and viscosity grades follow different classification systems and must not be treated as interchangeable without technical verification. Available grades are confirmed against the relevant supplier's technical documentation and current allocation.

Supply Chain Process

How a bitumen shipment moves

01

Specification review

We confirm the required grade, technical standard, quantity, packaging and destination.

02

Supply verification

Potential origins, supplier allocations, cargo locations and loading arrangements are reviewed.

03

Commercial agreement

The parties confirm the accepted specification, price, quantity, payment conditions, Incoterm and shipment schedule.

04

Quality & documentation

Applicable testing, inspection, packaging and export documentation are coordinated before dispatch.

05

Loading & delivery

The cargo is released and transported according to the agreed shipment configuration and contractual responsibilities.

The Right Grade. The Right Supply Arrangement.

A bitumen purchase involves technical compatibility, cargo availability and transport feasibility. QAA brings these requirements together before a commercial commitment is made.

Frequently asked questions

Does Qasr Al Anqaa arrange bulk bitumen supply?

QAA reviews bulk and packaged bitumen sourcing requirements for commercial and industrial buyers. Availability, origin, grade and delivery conditions are confirmed for each enquiry.

Which bitumen grades can QAA source?

Requests may include penetration grades 60/70 and 80/100 and viscosity grades such as VG30 and VG40. Actual availability and compliance are confirmed against supplier documentation.

Can QAA source bitumen from Oman?

QAA evaluates Oman-based supply opportunities where suitable product and commercial arrangements are available. The final offer must identify the actual country of origin, cargo location and loading point.

Does QAA arrange international bitumen delivery?

Shipment options are assessed according to the product grade, packaging, loading infrastructure, destination and agreed delivery terms.

What documents are required for a bitumen shipment?

Requirements vary by market and contract. Common documents include a TDS, SDS, COA, commercial invoice, certificate of origin and the relevant transport documents.

Is the market benchmark the same as a supplier quotation?

No. Market benchmarks reflect defined assessment methodologies, grades and locations. A supplier quotation is based on the specific cargo, origin, quantity, packaging, delivery terms and transaction conditions.
